TASTING NOTES:
The color is intense, a deep, dark garnet red. The wine is clear.
A typical Cabernet Sauvignon nose, very dominant in the blend. Notes of black fruits like blackcurrant are perceived. Upon aeration, the wine reveals more empyreumatic and smoky aromas.
The attack is fresh and crisp. The mid-palate is full and velvety, with well-integrated tannins. The finish is particularly flavorful.

The beginning of the year was marked by bud break of the Merlots on March 23 and the Cabernet Sauvignons on March 30. A frost episode on April 5 will only very slightly impact the vineyard thanks to the preventive measures put in place by the estate.
The regular and homogeneous vegetative development in April was slowed down by the low sunshine in May before the return of favorable weather.
Flowering is homogeneous. Hot and rainy weather was recorded from mid-June to the end of July, which led to active vine growth but strong mildew pressure, which was controlled by the team's diligence.
From mid-August, the return of dry and hot, even scorching, conditions allowed for optimal grape ripening. The slight water stress caused by these conditions resulted in beautiful phenolic concentrations and satisfactory alcohol levels, while maintaining good acidity and fresh fruit aromas.
The 2023 harvest took place under ideal climatic conditions. The Merlot harvest began on September 18 and ended on September 22. A break of a few days was taken to achieve optimal ripeness. The Cabernet Sauvignon harvest began on September 26 and concluded on October 5, 2023.
